I always had a feeling during my late teens that I wasn't going to fit into this so called 'regular / normal lifestyle. I never bought into the idea that if you were educated and worked hard enough, in the end all would be secure. I felt that preordained idea of society a little lame / bullshit. Not everybody is honest and too many people I've encountered have hidden agendas where the nice guy who gives ends up - disappointed, frustrated and so on.....
At my age, I have had the opportunity to travel most of the world by back pack. Every journey was enlightening, educating and a whole lotta fun. Fun yes, but as an extreme back packer, life many times was the farthest thing from fun. From blown out infected eardrums in the ports of Greece to almost dieing (really) by eating an expired chocolate bar on the top of Mount Sinai. Yeah, I was surprised to see an Arab vendor all set up to cash in on the top of the mountain. Boy, capitalism really travels to some funny destinations.
My point. Back packing is no vacation, it takes skill in plotting your course, getting shelter, currency and the best one of all: adapting and mixing with the new culture that has enveloped you during your stay. Today I have finished my travels, for now. Today, I look forward to joining a dedicated group, with a clear and achievable mission statement. I yearn to belong to a greater purpose than what is offered here. I don't belong here. Again, with my puppy husky Persia - we want to settle in a commune that truly is honest to the core, approachable and open minded........................I have more to express, but it's almost 4am. So good night........for now.
Clearly, traveling has been an important aspect of my life and who I am today.
i just bought some land up here in the east mountains. It is only an acre and a half but I want to set up a space on it for gardening and processing herbs for healing work. I am a disabled vet and cannot do the work up here alone. I would like to know if there is anyone in the area who would be interested in coming up and helping to build rainbow style kitchen and community space and help with creating the vision of a healing space over the next few years?See More
