everyone is bothered by congress nullifying the constitution and bill of rights and sending their federal police force out to round up the discontented-
well, the federal police force could have been exposed by Rainbow in a manner that no one else could have, and no one will get another chance with the volume of evidence that was available -
the bureaucracy and political straw persons would have been exposed at the same time-
we would have had the association of counties, sheriffs' groups, and who knows whom lining up (behind us) to condemn the usurpation of reserved, memorialized, and natural rights-
Now it seems to be in the hands of conservative special interests who want to cut trees build nuke power plants while denying global warming to say nothing about cutting spending for education, medicare, etc.
the saying comes to mind about not speaking up and now there is no one left to speak up-
Occupy-the-World is waking up the entire world to the sad illusion of modern America and also to the promise that somehow still remains.
while Rainbow has been fighting against the very idea of the government granting or refusing to grant a permit for American citizens and other Human Beings to assemble freely, to experiment with direct democracy via consensus and the magic of Circle, to network and teach and share non-commercially on public lands
the rest of Amerika said "it's just a bunch of hippies trying to party in the woods, who cares?"  and allowed the control freaks to take all this power unto themselves. But we said "No body of individuals should have to form or structure themselves in a prescribed or dictated manner in order to exercise, collectively, rights held individually.  No one can speak for or sign for an assembly of equal individuals and the U.S. Constitution did not grant any rights but rather restricted government, restricted corporations, gave all the Power to the People (read that "We the People") and very simply ENUMERATED the rights we ALL have simply by virtue of being Human Beings.  Personally I would add to all of this, the rights all living creatures have simply by virtue of being LIFE itself.
"They made us many promises, more than I can remember, but
they never kept but one; They promised to take our land,
and they took it." --Red Cloud
I owe much of the above to My good friend and brother Stephen...
and I owe the sharing below to My sister and beloved Joanee who passed it on... and on...
so that now it is My turn to pass it on... and on...

Dear Family and Friends,
I have sent this to 48 people and my friend who sent it to me. I don't usually like to do this but the message is very important in our day and time and through Internet we can reach a lot of people very quickly. I blocked and copied the the message below to avoid multiple forwardings. Buffet's sage suggestions is our future. Our government officials need to live the way we live. It's only fair. Further, without them trying to keep their careers going indefinitely because of all the cool perks, they might become more interested in their actual job rather than working on getting elected year after year. This could improve the efficiency of the government. If we must have a government, then it should be as fair and efficient as possible.
Thanks for considering the below, and please forward widely.
Love, peace, thanks.
Winds of Change
Warren Buffet is asking each addressee to forward this email to a minimum of twenty people on their address list; in turn ask each of those to do likewise.
In three days, most people in The United States of America will have the message. This is one idea that really should be passed around.
*Congressional Reform Act of 2011* 1. No Tenure / No Pension.
A Congressman/woman collects a salary while in office and receives no
pay when they're out of office.
2. Congress (past, present & future) participates in Social Security.
All funds in the Congressional retirement fund move to the Social Security system immediately. All future funds flow into the Social Security system, and Congress participates with the American people. It may not be used for any other purpose.
3. Congress can purchase their own retirement plan, just as all Americans do.
4. Congress will no longer vote themselves a pay raise. Congressional pay will rise by the lower of CPI or 3%.
5. Congress loses their current health care system and participates in the same health care system as the American people.
6. Congress must equally abide by all laws they impose on the American people.
7. All contracts with past and present Congressmen/women are void effective 1/1/12. The American people did not make this contract with Congressmen/women.
Congressmen/women made all these contracts for themselves. Serving in Congress is an honor, not a career. The Founding Fathers envisioned citizen legislators, so ours should serve their term(s), then go home and back to work.
If each person contacts a minimum of twenty people then it will only take three days for most people (in the US) to receive the message. Don't you think it's time?
If you agree with the above, pass it on. If not, just delete. You are one of my 20+ Please keep it going, and thanks!

thank you lauri and AMEN

here is MY take on Occupy today:

the SEIU and the Longshoremen are making mistakes at 2 opposite sides of the coin. the same mistake that randy rhodes and the rest of the liberal radio and tv commentators have been making

the money thing is NOT what this is all about. if all we do is force the govt and corporations to create 'enough' jobs nothing will have changed in any meaningful way. and the cycle of greed and power-grabbing will repeat itself. if all we do is stop the Corporations from owning the politicians openly the cycle of greed and power-grabbing will not change in any meaningful way.

we are in solidarity with the unions. we are also in solidarity with small businesses and students and farmers and virtually every socially conscious piece of the Movement from environmental to homelessness to free health care for all to eldercare to decent free education for all to an end to GMO and nuke power and fragging and drilling in the oceans and big-business-farming and immigration policies and indigenous people policies worldwide that perpetuate the colonial attitude of the so-called powers-that-be. the ptb are NO LONGER THE PTB. We the People are the new powers -that-be.

capitalism only works when greed and power grabs are outlawed. representative forms of government only work when greed and power grabs are taken out of the equation. sexism and genderism and homophobia and racism and superiority of ANYBODY over ANYBODY are out. exclusivity is out. union bosses and corporate boardrooms and political chambers are irrelevent.

We now Occupy the streets and the parks and the ports and the shipping hubs and the public universities and the high schools and then the houses of worship and the legislatures and the ball parks are next and the executive mansions don't know it yet but they too are Occupied and soon the clinics and hospitals and mass transit stations and busses and trains and airports and markets and big box stores and big business boardrooms will all fall to We the 99% because we have all grown tired of the destruction bred and nurtured by the 1% and all their systems that pretend there is such a thing as democracy and freedom and communication and honesty and trust and respect and honor. oh and IF WE DECIDE to keep representative democracy we will dismantle all the voting machines and return to paper voting and hand-counting... and the idea that one person one vote is the primary principle of any representative form of anything, not time and date limits... and we will be sure that the Supreme Court Justices are answerable to We the People and we will fire all professional politicians and return to the Citizen Statesman-woman and look out world, We the People have arrived, all 99% of us including those who don't yet know that they too have a belly button!

And of course I speak only for myself because we still are the most powerful Movement there ever was due to the fact that we have NO LEADERS and we are INCLUSIVE not exclusive so we have only ONE Agenda which is to absorb the 1% but rather have ALL other socially conscious agendas.
