As I began my profile with this site my life was changing dramatically. I had twin sons who were 20 Years old and one of them was having some very serious psychiatric concerns. As we waited for the counselor to call us back I signed up for the site at the urging of my 20 yo. He was seen and arrangements were made for him to see the psychiatrist the next day as well as the counselor and to be sure and have his twin brother come as well. Now normally I would have been out of town working during the week. I was only home to deal with this issue. I also have 2 other boys who are 30 and 27. The next morning we all get up, I drive my son to work who is seeing the doctor later as we were trying to encourage as much normalcy as we could. The other twin went to the DMV and my 27 yo had an audition for a commercial. It became time to get ready to head out for the doctor appt and the bathroom door was locked. I banged, then screamed, then bust the door down. Remember this is not the son who was having the psychiatric problems. I find my son unresponsive on the bathroom floor with toothbrush in hand. Lips blue, finger blue. I called 911 and began CPR. I am well trained but have never used it. It took 10 minutes for the ambulance to arrive. They said there was nothing that could be done. He was gone. That was 7/7/16. Almost as dramatically the symptoms subsided with his twin brother. They say it was a twin thing. It is a miracle because the diagnosis was paranoid schizophrenia. There can be a rainbow in every tragedy. It's been hard on me and the boys.
