Mountains in the distance

a full moon in the sky

the calm in the lake

and sounds of the night.

tree frogs sing

as birds do too.

fireflies dance

just like the flames.

the moon - it shines

casting a dim blue light

upon this darkened world

of deep mystery and ineffable beauty.

Dancing barefoot under stars far away

yet so close to my heart.

I know how it feels to be alive.

Nothing lasts forever

so I make it last Now.

I wallow in the moonllight

and swim in the sun.

These things may seem simple

but to me, mean a ton.
