having friends and then having brothers and sisters

i love my tribe of brothers and sisters. in actuality, they have treated me better and more kindly than my own family. how many people feel the same way? disenfranchised from your own family because they cannot understand u, when sometimes u barely understand yourself? our home is open for camping year round for all weary rainbow travelers, including families with children. the only thing we ask is to be a true rainbow; to abide by the tenets laid down by the elders; to live in peace and harmony… Continue

Things I learned Today Before 6:00 A.M.

Saw this on Facebook and shared it:

Never claimed to be God

Never claimed to be the son of God

Never claimed to be a messenger of God

He was a man who achieved Nirvana through human effort

What followed, was several shares by FB friends. Clicking on my little FB globe icon, I came across one of the shares that had over 30 comments attached to it. My…

following rainbow trail with children

After too many years of being stuck in babylon, I getting back on the trail.  This time I have a husband and toddler.  I am not the only one who has changed.  The face of rainbow is still the same beautiful entity, but now family can network via internet and cell phones.  We have new challenges from babylon's expectations of how folks should live and with that, my husband and I are compelled to leave babylon behind and follow the trail full time, and move our home base to the west…

Going to start blogging about where I've been (physically, spiritually, and mentally), with the hopes in leaving behind some baggage to get where I want to go.

I'm in an interesting place in my life.  About 12 years ago I started questioning everything in hopes of finding as much TRUTH as I could.  I've taken many steps forward and a few back in the process, sometimes to come full circle.  I attempted to agressively find freedom from my shackling thoughts, attitudes, and behaviors only to return to some old and find some new.  I've studied and aspired to emulate people that have truly taken the high road in this journey of life, and I have…

I am not yours, not lost in you,
Not lost, although I long to be
Lost as a candle lit at noon,
Lost as a snowflake in the sea.
You love me, and I find you still
A spirit beautiful and bright,
Yet I am I, who long to be
Lost as a light is lost in light.
Oh plunge me deep in love -- put out
My senses, leave me deaf and blind,
Swept by the tempest of your love,
A taper in a rushing wind.

I have this theory that every religion is true simaltaneosly but i have a strong feeling in the belief in reicarnation, in Zulu there are two worms, red and blue, good and evil, that are within us and both are necessary for our survival because they balance eachother out and they are the Moya.  The Ena is the other part of us that passes on to the afterlife, but the journey leads back to Earth.  That's what Black Elk saw in his vision too,…

2012 National Gathering Experience

On June 26th, my sister Ashlee and I packed up and took off for the gathering. We met many people, laughed until we couldn't stand it anymore, and learned many new things. First we stopped on the way to pick up a beautiful sister named Kara and her baby. I would have to say that she is one the sweetest, most level headed person I have met in a long time. She taught me so much, from the different ways she lives life, and even products she uses. She was kind enough to let me try her coconut…
