About Me:
8-2-2013 "In the City of God, St. Augustine tells the story of a pirate captured by Alexander the Great, who asked him 'how dare he molest the sea.' 'How dare you molest the whole world' the pirate replied. 'Because I do it with a little ship only, I am called a thief; you, doing it with a great navy, are called an emperor'.”

I know I have spoken of this before... but I feel it necessary to once again tell My entire family that I do not and will not "accept gifts" nor give any on this site... there is much about this particular network that I do not understand nor accept... I am here because I wish to communicate with My Family... and AGR doesnt work very well and I refuse to participate on Facebook or Twitter as I believe they are tools of the Beast. actually I find navigating this network to be difficult and confusing but as I wish to share knowledge and faith, I keep coming back. please do not feel offended if I neither accept gifts nor send gifts. it has nothing to do with my love for everyone here.

to all My Christian brothers and sisters - I know you mean well by your Christmas greetings but I am not Christian, do not celebrate Christmas as you do. All my life I have had to hide from Christmas because it was rudely thrust upon me by the school system, by the American culture of consumerism, by the Christian majority. I no longer hide, now I am Santa for children of homeless and need-filled families in New Mexico. but other than that, I have no connection to this holiday. so please do not be offended if I do not react as you expect, if I do not also send merry CHRISTmas notes to folks within the Rainbow. do remember please, that Rainbow is of ALL colors, all religions, all cultures. thank you and bless you all.

the BRICK, a repeat but worth the read... all the way to the end please...

A young and successful executive was traveling down a neighborhood street,
going a bit too fast in his new Jaguar. He was watching for kids darting out from between parked cars and slowed down when he thought he saw something.

As his car passed, no children appeared. Instead, a brick smashed into the Jag's side door! He slammed on the brakes and backed the Jag back to the spot where the brick had been thrown.

The angry driver then jumped out of the car, grabbed the nearest kid and pushed him up against a parked car shouting, 'What was that all about and who are you? Just what
the heck are you doing? That's a new car and that brick you threw is going to cost a lot of money.. Why did you do it?'

The young boy was apologetic. 'Please, mister....please, I'm sorry but I didn't know what else to do,' He pleaded. 'I threw the brick because no one else would stop...' With tears dripping down his face and off his chin, the youth pointed to a spot just around a parked car. 'It's my brother, 'he said 'He rolled off the curb and fell out of his wheelchair and I can't lift him up.'

Now sobbing, the boy asked the stunned executive, 'Would you please help me get him back into his wheelchair? He's hurt and he's too heavy for me.'

Moved beyond words, the driver tried to swallow the rapidly swelling lump in his throat.. He hurriedly lifted the handicapped boy back into the wheelchair, then took
out a linen handkerchief and dabbed at the fresh scrapes and cuts.. A quick look told him everything was going to be okay. 'Thank you and may God bless you,' the grateful child told the stranger. Too shook up for words, the man simply watched the boy
push his wheelchair-bound brother down the sidewalk toward their home..

It was a long, slow walk back to the Jaguar. The damage was very noticeable, but the driver never bothered to repair the dented side door. He kept the dent there to
remind him of this message: 'Don't go through life so fast that someone has to throw a brick at you to get your attention!' G-d whispers in our souls and speaks to our hearts. Sometimes when we don't have time to listen, He has to throw a brick at us. It's our choice to listen or not.

my thought for the Day:

If G-d had a refrigerator, your picture would be on it.

If He had a wallet, your photo would be in it.

He sends you flowers every spring.

He sends you a sunrise every morning. Face it, friend - He is crazy about
you!

G-d didn't promise days without pain, laughter without sorrow, sun without rain, but He did promise strength for the day, comfort for the tears, and light for the way.

Read this line very slowly and please let it sink in...

If G-d brings you to it, He will bring you through it.

Vision Council, We the People and where will We go from here

Posted on August 11, 2015 at 5:57pm 1 Comment

regardless of which specific Rainbow Gathering any of us went to this year - when the Great Spirit in infinite wisdom decided to break us up into a group of mini-Gatherings so our prayers could be heard from many different locations and directions all at once...

there are some very simple facts

1- our location decisions are ALWAYS made at Vision Council on the Land during the annual July Rainbow Gathering of the Tribes

2- many years there were people who disagreed with the consensus reached by those who attended the Vision

council

3- none of those disagreements mattered a damn, except that 2 years we had split Gatherings.  the Kentucky-Alabama split and this year.  and communication between the 2 camps that 1st split year resulted in a consensus that worked for everyone.  this year the Black hills Vision Council invited and was attended by representatives from some of the other July Gatherings.  other camps decided not to show Respect for Rainbow traditions and Council consensi over and over again from years past.

Comes the Dawn

Comes The Dawn
By Veronica A. Shoffstall

After a while you learn
The subtle difference between
Holding a hand and chaining a soul
And you learn that love doesn’t mean leaning
And company doesn’t always mean security.

And you begin to learn
That kisses aren’t contracts
And presents aren’t promises
And you begin to accept your defeats
With your head up and your eyes ahead
With the grace of a woman
Not the grief of a child

And you learn
To build all your roads on today
Because tomorrow’s ground is
Too uncertain for plans
And futures have a way
Of falling down in mid flight

After a while you learn
That even sunshine burns if you get too much
So you plant your own garden
And decorate your own soul
Instead of waiting
For someone to bring you flowers

And you learn
That you really can endure
That you are really strong
And you really do have worth
And you learn and you learn
With every goodbye you learn.

another poem, a Dance

Oriah Mountain Dreamer (check out her website and blog and books) wrote this:

       The Dance

I have sent you my invitation,
the note inscribed on the palm of my hand
by the fire of living.
Don’t jump up and shout,
“Yes, this is what I want! Let’s do it!”
Just stand up quietly and dance with me.
Show me how you follow your deepest desires,
spiraling down into the ache within the ache,
and I will show you how I reach inward
and open outward to feel the kiss of the Mystery,
sweet lips on my own, every day.
Don’t tell me you want to hold the whole world in your heart. Show me…

I am not yours, not lost in you,
Not lost, although I long to be
Lost as a candle lit at noon,
Lost as a snowflake in the sea.
You love me, and I find you still
A spirit beautiful and bright,
Yet I am I, who long to be
Lost as a light is lost in light.
Oh plunge me deep in love -- put out
My senses, leave me deaf and blind,
Swept by the tempest of your love,
A taper in a rushing wind.

I am one of about 25 trainers in New Mexico who are giving the 99 Spring designed Non Violent Direct Action Training to hundreds of people statewide and encouraging local actions against local 1 percenters everywhere!  yay!  and I was on the planning committee for the PTSD Awareness Day held this past weekend.  and I am headed to the Cumberland Regional Gathering May 25- June 3rd.  and I am in love with Life!

Winds of Change

everyone is bothered by congress nullifying the constitution and bill of rights and sending their federal police force out to round up the discontented-

well, the federal police force could have been exposed by Rainbow in a manner that no one else could have, and no one will get another chance with the volume of evidence that was available -

the bureaucracy and political straw persons would have been exposed at the same time-

we would have had the association of counties, sheriffs' groups, and who knows whom lining up (behind us) to condemn the usurpation of reserved, memorialized, and natural rights-

Now it seems to be in the hands of conservative special interests who want to cut trees build nuke power plants while denying global warming to say nothing about cutting spending for education, medicare, etc.

the saying comes to mind about not speaking up and now there is no one left to speak up-

Occupy-the-World is waking up the entire world to the sad illusion of modern America and also to the promise that somehow still remains.

while Rainbow has been fighting against the very idea of the government granting or refusing to grant a permit for American citizens and other Human Beings to assemble freely, to experiment with direct democracy via consensus and the magic of Circle, to network and teach and share non-commercially on public lands

the rest of Amerika said "it's just a bunch of hippies trying to party in the woods, who cares?"  and allowed the control freaks to take all this power unto themselves.…
