- About Me:
- Sun Sign = Capricorn; Moon Sign = Taurus; Rising Sign = Virgo. All earth signs. Not only that, but was born in the year of the Earth Boar.
For many years I have been involved with a medieval recreation group known as the SCA - Society for Creative Anachronism. It satisfied my desire for social interaction and my love of history. I've enjoyed learning early period methods for weaving, sewing, camping, drumming, dancing, target archery and most of all painting/recreating medieval illuminated manuscripts. It also taught me how to appreciate and accept other people and the variety of interests they hold dear. I think I have found even more of this in the Rainbow Family and what I hope to be on a deeper level. I realize much of my experience here will depend on me and the effort I put into shining my light and accepting the light offered. I'm excited about being here and look forward to getting to know you all more. I have a tendency to be a bit shy sometimes so please understand if I seem reserved. Many hugs, much love to all! I am also known as Rothin, or Tulip.

My Aspen Tree

About three or four years ago an Aspen tree decided to take up residence in a corner of my small patio backyard area. The corner it chose happens to be about two feet from the gate. I didn't know what it was at first. It was only small sprout growing up between the red patio bricks when I initially became aware of it. For those of you not yet on my friend's list, I am posting the same note that I sent out to friend's:
Dear Ones,
Just a quick note to let you all know that I've decided to use the name
Momma Tulip here. It is a name that I have used at other times in my
life and in other social circles. It is a name that I am comfortable
with and one I think will eliminate some confusion since I think there

Hey Momma Tulip~ How have you been? I know it's been a while~! I'm taking each precious 'lil step- trying to enjoy all the little things in Life- 'cuz you know they mean soooo much~! ..(this is a pic I snapped in Ann Arbor, MI at the School of Music- (I go there now and then to practice guitar & piano) I've been going to N.C. once a year- having cool adventures- gearing up for a new one soon- hopefully this time around- I can find a nice place to live - over there- it costs me about $10 a day just to live out of car- - took the backseat out- (that's where I sleep)
