Creative, Independent, nature driven and environmentally aware artist. Largely a free spirited non conformist. Working with natural fibers, clay and found art, but also enjoy printmaking, photography. Down to earth and brutally honest. Love to laugh. Life demands it.
Animals, Animal Rescue, art and music are a huge part of who I am. I have a very strong interest in Native American culture, history and spiritual practices.
Enjoy anything outdoors at any time of year. I love the ocean, old boats, sail boats, old trucks and I guess junk in general. It is a real thrill to find something someone else has deemed junk and recycle it into something beautiful and useful.
I grew up on a farm, have at times lived in the city, but adore nature. I believe that all people of every race have the right to live with dignity and respect and I am looking for ways to connect with others who have the same belief system and are willing to work together to improve life for those less fortunate.
My kids are now in college, high school and 1 in elementary school. I am interested in sustainable living and making a difference in the world. My dog is my best friend.
If I had a do over in life I would join the Peace Corps and work with indigenous peoples of the world. I find their cultures and people to be so beautiful.
Would love to have been at Woodstock, the original.
Non materialistic lifestyle and not looking to have it replaced, but wanting another free spirit to share the journey.
I am looking for a life time connection, a movement which would be as natural as the ebb and flow of the rising tides. A life of purpose.
Interests/Favorites: social justice, hiking, camping, the ocean, Native American/Indigenous people and culture, sustainable living, music, art, reading, Animal Rescue and Rehabilitation, kayaking, Frank Lloyd Wright, Bob Marley, The Dead,Dylan, Hendrix, Joni Mitchell, Janis Joplin, Cocker, Crosby, Stills& Nash, Cat Stevens, Edward Sharpe & Magnetic Zeros, etc.,Bonnaroo, MerleFest, turtles, sea turtle rehabilitation, alternative housing, long walks after dark and walking in the rain, a good outdoor shower, adventure and laughter

Hey, Shannon, thanks for friend invite! Wow, are we on the same page! Have been to Simpsonville last year for GD concert... at least, I know where it is. Happy hiking, keep dancing thru, and love to you, Sister. My husband Zen went to original Woodstock.
Thanks, sister! I asked my friend down here to name me. She is very creative and articulate and she attended the original Woodstock and was at Haight-Ashbury during the Summer of Love and I figured that if anyone could think of an appropriate name for me she could! I think the name probably popped into her head because we were recently pulling weeds out of her pond and we were hoping that we would not run into any water moccasins! My friend lives only about a half an hour from Ocala and I have been trying to convince her to attend the winter gathering. If she decides to go and you can make it down it would be great if you could meet her as I think that you would really like each other. Hearing the stories of her hippie days is absolutely fascinating and much better than watching a documentary or something like that about the period!
Hey, Shannon! I am so glad that you have the time to get into this a bit more now! That makes me happy because I now that you would really like it! Of course you know that I think your artistic creations are amazing but it is also really great to see your happy smiling face up there in your profile photo! I love that photo of you my friend. Shannon, do you like my new name? Peace and Love, Sister! Water Moccasin P.S. I will send you those links in a few minutes.
