Like most other necessities power requires Green energy. $… It’s not so difficult to figure out. I have priced components (batteries, inverters, solar & wind generators. For about $2,000 one can generate 10,000 watts of contentious power. This also includes a 2-year warranty on the components. $2,000 is a totally do-able cost for that much power. Within the first 2 years if something craps out it’s replaced for free. I did research for this when I started GNOMME for our site. To my dismay my crew chose Alcohol consumption over power… Happy to say they are a thing of the past.

Anyone interested just drop me a line and I can send links....

I'm interested lightweight! Am on grid but in the winter we never go over 65 dollars on our elec bill. We burn wood but have an elec. cook stove. This isnt to bad knowing the PUD has a 22 dollar min fee. That is because a lot of people in my part of the country burn wood, so the PUD has to tack on a hefty fee to maintain. It sucks but I will say that if there is a down line they are on it. So for 2000 bucks I can get off the grid? Send me info. Thanks!
Hey LightWeight..Could you email us with the info? We are working on solar and such here..We have 3 panels but our battery was stolen when they took everything from us. So it would be nice to learn of other options. Loving You

you do not need the tower kit, I'd say you could find a mounting pole or something localy.

You need at least 8 batteries, connect them inline Pos to pos and neg to neg. Use allong with the solar pannels you have. The inverter is important. This one will run every or anything but 220 cloths fryer or electric range.

This is obviously just a personal opinion I give .  There are far better companies to  buy what you need than to use  heartland america .

True, I have just built a hybrid systel for about half that using EBay.

Sweet array!

High! LW How are you?

Do you know what my favorite solar collector is?

Love this!

In regard to your discission about green energy :    considering the needs of everyday household consumption , did you happen to figure out what a person could still operate .  I realize your research probably leans toward  off grid living .  I am looking into buying large acreage and property with a down hill water source is a big plus .  I would like to be self sufficent through the use of Hydro  Power .
Solar power rocks for a small space, I know this from experience......LOL
That is sooo kewl Bob!
