We have plenty of room...if all of our rooms are taken, theres the floor or we have several tents or you can put up your own tent..let me tell you about our place...
We are a fairly new off-grid small Intentional Community in Arkansas. We raise currently rabbits, and guinea hens...We will be building more housing
for small livestock as well as building fences. Our goal is
self-sustainability as well as harmony, peace and love!
At the Roundhouse work is a must for survival, therefore, everyday is work...if
you want water-it must be pumped, if you want something to eat-wood
must be prepared(cut), fire started, and afterwards dishes...We also
have a small garden that needs tended...as well as preparing the plant
beds for the next year..
Not only do we work hard but we like to play and relax, too! Freesbie, horseshoes, bonfires, cards, and scrabble
are some of the things we enjoy on our off time..
The Roundhouse sits on 22.75 acres of forest..At the moment only about 3 acres or less
is being used so there are plenty of acres and surrounding areas to go
for nice nature walks and even some small rock climbing. Our neighbor
adjacent to us has a beautiful swimming hole that we get to use at our
leisure..which is quite often, in the heat of the summer.

Do you own the land and where do the folks take a shower?

We have a bathtub in the house where we take baths during the winter, we have a solar shower for the summer months.

TY Alicat... I've had a solar hot water shower before:) My mother had the solar hot water heater on the roof.. it worked great. And I've used a camping solar shower bag, it wasn't too swift. and I still wonder...or assume it's your land.. if for a weekend, do they have to work and what if someone gets hurt real bad? Have you thought through any number of possible consequences?

Sorry about the question left unanswered yes we own the land..and we have some measures set up in case of accidents as well as we are working on a waiver...its all in the process...When we first started we didnt have much in the way of any policies or such..now we have a policy that those who want to be here must read, agree to and sign. We are still working on precaution measures..and any advice is appreciated.. Loving You Family!

I am a carpenter and plan to tour communitys with my tools and helpers and build cabins and relationships,is this something roundhouse would be interested in?
I have a new international community in virgina and think it would be wonderfull if communities could network and trade with oneanother.
