Anthony: I'd be obliged to know your thoughts as to how you plan to set up the wind generator for mobility, portability in such a way as to fit your lifestyle and goals. I've done the wind generator thing in a fixed cabin environment and came to respect how much it turned out.  The wind was sufficient and constant enough where I was located to make it stand alone.  But even set permanently on a pole with guywires, eventually a strong wind came along and took it down, ruined the vanes.  If you've done the heavy thinking on how to manage a mobile setup how about discussing it in detail?

30 days ago I installed 2- 100 watt 12/24 volt (set at 12v) on my 22 foot travel trailer along with 2 deep cycle marine batteries and a solar charger. I have plenty of 12v power. I run a 1000 watt pure sine inverter to power my television system which can run the majority of the day and up till 11pm. I'm loving this and may go to 300 watts and a third battery. I have also considered a small wind generator too. I like to live by boondocking on BLM land and use BLM campgrounds and stay on the move trying to see as much of this land as I can.

Sage, what kind of amperes are you pumping out, if it reads out at 3.5 amps @ 19 volts then you are throwing a full 70 watts and the **** with the light, Bro

 Peace and love

I guess Ohm should Amp up his photo-Volt-aic panels as farads I can see !! Maybe he is just a Float-er lacking Capacity unable to Induce any Power from cheap talk !!  Anyone can tune a bass but it takes a real person to play solar .

i have room for one passenger, but so far it's just me.  Where are you all?  I am making a family map and hope to visit as many as possible on the way to wherever i end up.

debi, I have seen pv panels @ $2.50 / watt, but that was at an overpriced store, I am sure better deals are to be had if you search the net.

Sage, I'm glad someone else here knows this stuff, I can get by but have limited exp. in actual practice

Peace and love pham

Cool, thanks. Now, any idea where to get solar cells reasonably priced?
