The 2002 MI Nat'l Rainbow Gathering was my first- I traveled with the Jupiter II bus- camped with Turtle Soup- I'm generally a reclusive hermit type of person and I knew right away this would be a great opportunity to become more community oriented~ The Ottawa Nat'l Forest was enchanting-
I went to a small college in the U.P>up in the Keewenaw (did I spell that right?)Peninsula- (formerly Suomi College) now it's a 4 yr University... Finlandia) beautiful country up there too~!
I'm in ann Arbor currently~ 'thinking about relocating to Kalamazoo for the community college
Oh excellent! I love the UP, its awesome up there and not hard to get lost if thats what you wanna do. I have lived most of my life around the Lansing area, but I have lived close to Ann Arbor too, in a few different towns (Adrian, Tecumseh, Ida). I actually love Michigan, but the politics drives me insane here and I think the voters here are suicidal or something.
I am currently going to school in Flint (or is it Swartz Creek?) at ITT Technical Institute, but thinking about transferring closer to home if Lansing Community College has my courses.
I would love to know when and if any gatherings happen again in the area, I know we have some awesome places for it to happen here, especially in the northern part of the state. I wonder how difficult it would be to get something like that going on Beaver Island? Be a lot to get everyone across on the fairy I bet. How wonderful would it be to have an island and annex it from the country? lol
