When a person might wish to come in from the woods for a hot shower, laundry facilities, electricity bill and water paid by someone else the Park Host option might fit the situation.  I've only searched around for the availability of these positions in West Texas and New Mexico, but both states have them.

People who sign a contract to work 20 hours a week cleaning up camp sites, picking up trash, taking money from arrivals, whatever, in exchange for being provided a free space with water, sewer, and electric hookups during the month the contract lasts.  Both states include days off for the Park Hosts, some have WIFI, and evidently there's a potential for extending the contract beyond 30 days if things didn't go sour during the contract period.

Here's a link to current volunteer positions open in Texas.

You'll need to scroll down a bit to reach the Park Host openings.  But maybe some of the other volunteer positions would be more to your liking.

Here's the link to the Volunteer page of the NM State Parks site.

Maybe some of you have already done this and be willing to share your experiences.  Or maybe you know about the availability of similar situations in your own states.

Or maybe this will just fade into the grader ditch of history without any interest.  The Universe only wears clothing that fit, than this one's iffy for Rainbow code talkers, I figures.
