I'd been on the road for two years but had never heard of a Rainbow Gathering although I'd met the Love Family in Seattle, the Krishnas in Ft Lauderdale, and a few road dogs here and there. Me? I just traveled, trying to see everything, and my next destination was Quebec. I stopped at the Wedge Co-op in Minneapolis on my way there and found a Howdy Folks for the 1983 World Peace and Healing Gathering near Watersmeet, Michigan. It was only the first week of June, early, but I made my way…Continue

I live in Eugene. I live a pretty simple life. I am on temporary disability and I rent a home with my sons. I go to school at a Community College here. I usually take only two classes because I don't deal well with stress. I nuture my family, my friendships and my dog.
My life is blessed with love and peace, warmth, food, music, Rainbow friends and family. I want my family to know they can depend on me if they get in over their head. If times are too hard, too lonely, to…Continue

when all through the halls,
Not a crinkle did crackle
the plasterful walls.
The chimney was slung

In hopes Sandy Clockoff
would do the repairs.
The children lay crumpled up

There is an inner beauty about a woman who believes in herself; who knows she's capable of anything that she puts her mind to. There is a beauty in the strength & determination of a woman that follows her own path who isn't thrown off by obstacles along the way. There is a beauty about a woman whose confidences come from experiences; who knows she can fall, pick herself up, and move on.

A month ago my home burnt down. I'm starting over, and want to be fire resistant. I'm wondering if anybody has any ideals or knows of a site to look at, or maybe even knows of a place to get materals cheap or better yet free. Some where in my pass I've seen metal boxes 10 by 12 or so that were used one time in the halls of ships. Don't know where to get them; thats about where I'm at today. Any ideals are welcome.
