RAINBOW FAMILY GATHERINGS: Unofficial Community for Rainbow Family
Probably the first step toward domestication in the human psyche begins with acceptance of the concept a series of interdependencies is natural, positive, to be sought-after. By the time a child arrives at kindergarten overlapping concentric and eccentric circles of 'we' cables already surround, anchor, shackle the youngster along paths designed by others.
But post-kindergarten it's all downhill. Every kind of group imaginable sinks roots loyalties, aspirations into the life and brain.
Undomesticating the self isn't a mission to be tackled by the faint-of-heart.
So even before school starts, with the first breath there is a "we" in the room. We live in a (fill in the blank) we do things this and such a way (fill in the blank) etc. so "we"... that we experience permeates our known world from the beginning of our existence. So, you are basically saying -- the responsibility lies upon the living to instill upon the new to life to remain autonomous as possible in order to remain wild?
I think life is challenging and bringing children into the world additionally so, but if we can try to live the best lives we can as close to wholesome as possible and teach children to always consider their own preferences, and not accept the norms as the only ways... I think at least that's a good start.
