Well Oz is the same as the Emerald City right? I wonder what happens if you drive through town and play Dark Side of the Moon.

Moonshelle you will love the area.I was born in Eugene and was to me one of the best places to grow up. Never herd it called oz but it is such a magical place.Lots of elder family with open arms.

I heard it called the Emerald City. I thought it was because Oregon is so green.

A lot of brothers and sisters have called it oz for a number of years cause of the large number of hippies that moved there after the San Fran movement died down ( the death of the hippies ) A lot of hippies moved to the N.W and have stayed out here. Can you blame them It's beautiful out here : )

i just moved out of eugend for legal reasons but im glad to be your friend and know family there if u want to meet some kind folks...im goin to serve prison time in 6 weeks for psychedelics...i miss my mountain home.. and will be back...blue

Salem is a a green and beautiful place.It is the city but it has the feeling of a small town. The people have been nice to me despite the fact that I stick out in the crowed.. Meaning I wear full Hippie colors all the time.
